The Build Log
Real-time rebuilding.
The Build Log within Studs Up Living — Rebuilding Life. Living with Purpose. is a subscription-only space offering ongoing, personal updates from my continued pursuit of purpose. Here, I share periodic reflections as I revisit the early days of my own Studs Up grief journey by rereading past journals — honoring the progress, the setbacks, and the growth that happens over time.
Subscribers also receive a weekly newsletter summarizing the realities of the week — the challenges, small wins, lessons learned, and moments of unexpected joy that come with continuing to rebuild life with intention.
The Build Log is honest, reflective, and evolving — a reminder that living with purpose is not a destination, but an ongoing process.
Because the work of rebuilding doesn’t end… it continues to take shape, one week at a time.
When Life Gets Stripped to the Studs
Sometimes life gets stripped down to the studs.
Loss, change, grief, divorce, career shifts, loneliness after 50 — they all have a way of dismantling the life we thought we knew.
This first essay in my new series explores what it means to rebuild with purpose after everything changes.
The Build Log — Entry One
Before the launch. Before the members. Before I know whether anyone will truly connect with this space enough to join it… I’m writing this first entry of The Build Log anyway. In this deeply personal reflection, I share the vulnerability of creating a community while still rebuilding my own life, the loneliness and hope that coexist during reinvention, and my vision for a space where people navigating grief, divorce, starting over, and life transitions can feel less alone. This is the beginning of something honest, imperfect, and built from the studs up.
